President Bola Tinubu has ordered an intensified nationwide security crackdown following deadly attacks in Plateau and Kaduna states, warning that perpetrators targeting vulnerable communities will face decisive justice.
Coordinated assaults in Jos and Kahir village left families shattered, with several victims killed and wedding guests reportedly abducted, deepening fears among residents.
In a statement issued by his spokesman Bayo Onanuga, the President described the attackers as cowardly criminals exploiting darkness to unleash violence on defenceless citizens. He stressed that such attacks are designed to spark reprisals and destabilise communities, urging security agencies to act swiftly on intelligence to prevent further bloodshed.
Tinubu also directed urgent rescue operations for those kidnapped in Kahir, while cautioning against misinformation capable of inflaming tensions.
He commended the responses of Caleb Mutfwang and Uba Sani, assuring affected communities of federal support.
Reaffirming his administration’s strategy, the President disclosed ongoing efforts to deploy advanced security technology to track and neutralise criminal networks in real time, while calling for greater public cooperation.
He extended condolences to grieving families and expressed hope for the swift recovery of the injured.
