Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia has clarified her relationship status following her separation from music star 2Face Idibia, stating that she does not consider herself a single mother.
Taking to her Instagram page, Annie explained that she prefers to describe herself as a single woman raising two children rather than a single mom. “I’m not a single mom. I’m a single woman raising two kids,” she wrote.
Her statement comes months after 2Face announced in late January 2025 that he and Annie were going their separate ways and that divorce proceedings had begun. At the time, the singer admitted their marriage had been struggling for a long period.
Weeks after confirming the split, 2Face publicly introduced Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru as his new partner. In the wake of the announcement, Annie briefly removed “Idibia” from her social media profiles before later restoring the surname.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2012, share two daughters, Isabella and Olivia. Throughout their 13-year relationship, they were frequently in the public eye and faced a number of personal and public challenges. Annie currently has custody of their two children.
