A total of 545 indigenes of Nasarawa State studying at the University of Jos (UNIJOS), Plateau State, have been evacuated by the state government.
The exercise, carried out in collaboration with the leadership of the Nasarawa State Students Association (NASSA) is said to be necessitated by heightened security tensions.
According to the National President of NASSA, Comrade Abimiku Ovye David, the exercise will continue on Friday, April 4, to evacuate the remaining students and ensure their safe return home until normalcy is restored.
