The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has a new Commissioner of Police. CP (Prof) Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi has urged all officers to remain professional and civil in their interactions with the public.
CP Sanusi, who resumed office in Abuja, warned that indiscipline or unprofessional conduct will not be tolerated. “All personnel must uphold the highest standards of professionalism in the discharge of their duties,” he said.
He emphasized his commitment to working round the clock and expects the same dedication from his officers. “Together, we will ensure that the Command stays ahead of crime at all times,” CP Sanusi added.
Known for his zero-tolerance approach to crime, CP Sanusi pledged to make the FCT a safer place. “During my tenure, crime will have no place in the FCT. The Command will be proactive, intelligence-driven, professional, and relentless in its operations,” he said.
He also stressed the importance of public cooperation, saying security is a collective responsibility. “I operate an open-door policy and encourage members of the public to engage with us, share information, and partner with us in safeguarding our communities,” CP Sanusi stated.
The Commissioner warned criminals in the FCT to desist from unlawful activities or face the full force of the law. “The Federal Capital Territory is no longer a safe haven for criminal elements,” he added.
