Troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF) operating under Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have successfully intercepted two trucks carrying large quantities of suspected terrorist logistics along the Maiduguri-Mafa Road in Borno State.

According to military sources, the operation led to the arrest of 16 individuals believed to be supplying materials to insurgent groups operating across the North East. The seized items, recovered from the trucks, are suspected to be intended for use by terrorists, highlighting the ongoing threat to regional security.

The suspects are currently in custody and are undergoing preliminary investigations, while the recovered materials have been secured by the military to prevent them from reaching criminal networks.

Officials described the interception as a significant achievement in the ongoing campaign to dismantle terrorist supply chains in the region. Operation HADIN KAI, launched to restore peace and stability to insurgency-affected areas, has continued to prioritize proactive measures against those aiding terrorist activities.

This latest development demonstrates the military’s resolve to combat insurgency, disrupt the flow of weapons and supplies to terrorist groups, and protect civilians in the North East. Analysts say such operations are critical to maintaining security, rebuilding confidence in affected communities, and supporting the broader counter-insurgency efforts in Nigeria.
