Former Atiku loyalist dumps ADC for PDP, says Tinubu will be victorious in 2027

A former ally of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Aslam Aliyu, has resigned from the party and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring that President Bola Tinubu will win the 2027 presidential election.

Aliyu announced her resignation in a statement issued in Abuja, describing the ADC as a party without a clear direction and accusing the opposition of failing to provide practical solutions to Nigeria’s challenges.

She said her decision to join the APC followed years of working with opposition politicians, adding that she no longer believed they had a credible plan to move the country forward.

“After almost 20 years of working hard to make progress, it has become clear that the opposition has no real development agenda or practical and lasting solution to rescue the country,” she said.

Aliyu also claimed that the opposition lacked unity and trust among its members, insisting that its strategy was centred on criticising the federal government instead of offering workable alternatives.

According to her, Nigerians are tired of politicians who seek attention without presenting meaningful ideas for national development.

She urged her supporters to register with the APC and back President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

“There is no vacancy in Aso Rock until 2031 because President Bola Tinubu will win the 2027 presidential election by the grace of Almighty Allah,” she declared.
