FCT Fire service reviews fire router system, advises subscribers to wait

By Eunice Orike

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Fire Service has started a full review of its Fire Router system to ensure it meets the agency’s goals, operational standards and serves the public effectively.

The Director of the FCT Fire Service, Adebayo Z. Amiola, disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday.

He explained that the fire router system, introduced through a partnership with Prime Alert Secure Limited, is being reviewed to assess its performance and determine the best way forward.

Amiola appealed to members of the public and subscribers to remain patient while the review is ongoing.

He advised subscribers to keep their installed Fire Router devices until the Fire Service announces the outcome of the review.

According to him, subscribers whose service subscriptions are due for renewal should first contact the FCT Fire Service through its official communication channels before paying for long-term renewals.

He also assured residents that the FCT Fire Service’s regular emergency response system remains fully operational and urged the public to continue reporting fire incidents through the existing official emergency channels.

Amiola thanked the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, for his support and commitment to strengthening public institutions.

He assured stakeholders that the Fire Service would provide updates as soon as decisions are reached on the future of the Fire Router system.
