GLOBACOM has rewarded 115 of its highest-performing business partners with cash prizes worth millions of naira and other incentives as part of efforts to recognise outstanding contributions to its distribution network and deepen collaboration with dealers nationwide.
The recognition took place during the 2026 Glo Partners’ Reward Gala held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, where the telecommunications company also used the occasion to unveil new customer-focused initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery and strengthening subscriber engagement. The event brought together strategic trade partners, distributors and dealers for an evening of awards, networking and entertainment.
The awards recognised dealers who recorded exceptional performance between January and June 2026, reflecting Globacom’s continued emphasis on rewarding excellence across its nationwide sales and distribution channels.
Speaking at the event, the company’s Cluster Head, Lagos 2, Abdul Rasaq Ande, described the gathering as an opportunity to celebrate the enduring partnership between Globacom and its business partners, noting that their contributions have remained central to the company’s growth over the years.
According to him, the gala was designed not only to honour top-performing dealers but also to reinforce the shared commitment to innovation, collaboration and sustainable business growth.
“Our partners have, over the years, been the bedrock of the Globacom ecosystem, and their success is our success,” Ande said.
He also reflected on the company’s growth since it commenced operations on August 29, 2003, stating that Globacom has spent more than two decades investing in telecommunications infrastructure and digital innovation to improve connectivity across Nigeria.
He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to expanding its network capacity and deploying next-generation technologies to enhance service quality and meet the evolving needs of customers.
As part of its growth strategy, Globacom introduced several new products and digital solutions targeted at improving customer experience. Among them is the More Data More Value proposition, which is designed to offer subscribers higher data value for every naira spent while reinforcing the company’s position as a provider of affordable telecommunications services.
The company also showcased ongoing investments in digital customer engagement through Gloria, its artificial intelligence-powered Glo Café voice assistant capable of providing customer support in six languages. According to Globacom, the platform is being upgraded to deliver a more interactive and seamless digital experience for millions of subscribers.
In addition, the company highlighted the expansion of its Borrow Me Credit service, which allows customers to continue making calls and accessing services even after exhausting their airtime balance, thereby reducing service interruptions.
Entertainment also featured prominently during the gala, with the “Rep Your Region” Best Dressed competition attracting significant attention. Alamin Muhammed Suleiman of Benjee Communication and Anthonia Agbasi of Chicadef Global Limited emerged winners in the male and female categories respectively, receiving cash prizes of ₦500,000 each.
Guests were entertained by popular musician Segun Johnson, while comedian Gordons anchored the event alongside television personality and brand influencer Mo Abebe.
Some of the award recipients commended Globacom for maintaining a culture of recognising and rewarding outstanding dealer performance. Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Managing Director of Demmy Global Resources, Ademola Akinlabi, and Alhaji Yusuf Yahaya of Lambadaya Stores praised the company for rewarding dealers with cash prizes, vehicles and other incentives across multiple performance categories.
The gala concluded with a renewed commitment by Globacom to strengthen relationships with its business partners, whom the company described as critical stakeholders in its strategy to expand market reach, improve customer satisfaction and sustain growth in Nigeria’s highly competitive telecommunications sector.
