The Kano State Police has announced that the Command is in possession of a 16-year-old boy who, together with his four relatives, arrived Nigeria from Spain on Saturday, May 3, 2026 through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
According to a press statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer for the Kano State Command, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the command had earlier received the report of a 16-year-old boy, whose name is given as Alex Ansol, found wandering in Dadin Kowa village, Doguwa Local Government Area of Kano State, and has taken him for safe custody with the police.
The boy, according to the police, speaks English and is able to give his address in Spain as Barsa Rub, Opposite 46 Stadium, Spain.
The 16-year-old boy, Alex Ansol, was reportedly travelling to Kano to visit his father, Ansol Fan, but lost contact with his relatives along Jos—Saminaka road.
According to the police spokesperson, the police are making efforts to locate his relatives and re-unite him with them.
Alex is said to be thin and black in complexion, with no tribal marks, and the police is calling on anyone with useful information about his relatives or family to contact the Office of the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Kano State Police Command, or the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Doguwa Doguwa Division, Kano on the telephone number given as 07038363421.
