Yar’Adua thanks APC for consensus endorsement, pledges improved representation

Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua, representing Katsina Central Senatorial District, has thanked the All Progressives Congress, APC leadership in the state for adopting him as the consensus candidate for the 2027 senatorial election.

Describing the endorsement as humbling, the Senator said the unanimous support from party stakeholders is a call to greater service and deeper responsibility to the people of the district.

Speaking shortly after receiving the party’s nod at a meeting held at the Government House, Katsina, on Thursday, to seek a second term in the Senate, Yar’adua said the gesture, if renewed by the electorate, would position Katsina Central for ranking status in the National Assembly.

In a statement made available to journalists in Abuja, he explained that a second term would strengthen his capacity to attract greater federal presence, sponsor impactful legislation, and facilitate more developmental projects across the eleven local government areas in the senatorial district.

The chairman of the Senate Committee on Army stressed that experience and ranking in the Senate are critical to unlocking opportunities for constituents.

Yar’Adua specially thanked Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, and State APC Chairman, Dr Bashir Gambo for their fatherly role in ensuring a rancour‑free process.

He commended their commitment to internal democracy and unity within the party, noting that the peaceful consensus reflects the APC’s maturity in the state and sets a worthy example for others.

To the people and electorate of Katsina Central, Yar’Adua expressed deep appreciation for their unwavering support, prayers, and encouragement since his first election. He appealed for their continued trust and votes in the forthcoming election, pledging to remain a servant‑leader who listens, engages, and delivers.

“Together, we have started a journey of transformation. With your mandate for a second term, we will consolidate our gains, speak with a louder voice in Abuja, and ensure every community in Katsina Central feels the impact of quality representation,” he said.
