The Nasarawa State Police Command said operatives have arrested two suspected kidnappers linked to the abduction of some students of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK).
Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, for the Nasarawa State Command, SP Ramhan Nansel, in a statement made available to journalists, said all of the abducted students have safely returned and have been re-united with their families where they are receiving medical care and necessary supports.
According to the PPRO, intelligence-led operations and coordinated tactical collaboration between the operatives of the Command and sister security agencies led to the arrest of the two kidnappers linked to the incident while other fleeing members of the syndicate are being trailed by the police.
Nasarawa State Police Commissioner, Shetima Jauro Mohammed, has commended the police operatives for their professionalism, resilience and unwavering commitment to the success of the operations.
Eight students of the Nasarawa State University were kidnapped from their accommodation facility in the early hours of last Thursday, around 1:00am at the institutions Engineering Campus in Gudi, which sparked panic and uncertainty among students and residents.
Report said the kidnappers moved from room to room whisking away the eight students to an unknown destination and leaving other students and residents in shock.
