Adaramodu defeats Olujimi, Faparusi to win APC Ekiti South Senatorial ticket

By Olugbenga Salami

Senate spokesperson, Yemi Adaramodu, has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary for Ekiti South Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Adaramodu polled 12,200 votes to defeat former Senate Minority Leader, Biodun Olujimi, who scored 7,420 votes, and former House of Representatives member, Bamidele Faparusi, who got 5,502 votes.

Announcing the results, Chairman of the APC Primary Election Committee, Adedoyin, said the exercise was conducted in line with the party’s constitution and electoral guidelines.

He stated that Adaramodu met all constitutional and party requirements and secured the highest number of valid votes cast.

According to him, the result reflected the overwhelming confidence of APC delegates across the senatorial district in Adaramodu.

Following the declaration, Adedoyin returned Adaramodu as the duly elected APC senatorial candidate for Ekiti South.

Political observers say the outcome is a major boost to Adaramodu’s standing within the APC in Ekiti State, given the calibre of opponents he defeated in the keenly contested primary.
