FCSC sets August 28 deadline for GL 14-16 promotion accreditation

Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has commenced online accreditation for officers on Salary Grade Levels 14, 15 and 16 participating in the 2026 promotion exercise.

Head, Press and Public Relations, FCSC, Ibraheem Zakariyya, in a statement on Thursday, said that the accreditation exercise would commence on Friday, August 14 and end on Friday, August 28, 2026.

Zakariyya explained that affected Officers were expected to log into the Commission’s designated promotion portal with details that would be sent to their registered email addresses.

He urged candidates to complete the accreditation before the deadline, warning that there would be no extension after the portal closes on August 28.

He said Officers who failed to complete the accreditation within the stipulated period would forfeit the opportunity to participate in the exercise and would be required to present themselves again in 2027.

He further called on Permanent Secretaries, Accounting Officers and Chief Executive Officers of MDAs to ensure that all affected personnel were adequately informed of the directive.

According to him, this should include officers serving outside their headquarters, as well as those on official postings abroad.

The FCSC said the directive was contained in an official correspondence signed by its Chairman as part of measures to ensure a transparent, orderly and timely conduct of the promotion exercise.

The Commission consequently advised all concerned Officers to take advantage of the accreditation window and complete the process promptly, rather than wait until the final day.

It also urged all MDAs and candidates to adhere strictly to the prescribed guidelines and timelines.
