Federal Government has unveiled the D30 Platform, a national data and investment intelligence hub designed to identify investment opportunities, infrastructure gaps and creative and tourism assets across Nigeria.
The platform, developed by the Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy in partnership with Cavista Holdings, is expected to provide investors, businesses and State governments with access to reliable information to support investment decisions and economic planning.
Speaking at the launch, the Minister of FMACTCE, Barr Hannatu Musa Musawa, said the platform would address the longstanding challenge of inadequate data on the size and investment potential of Nigeria’s creative and tourism sectors.
Musawa explained that D30 would enable investors to identify creative industry clusters, assess available infrastructure and locate viable business opportunities.
She said the platform was designed to go beyond information gathering by providing intelligence that would help businesses expand, guide investment decisions and enable the government to allocate resources more effectively.
According to her, State governments seeking to develop tourism destinations would be able to assess their connectivity and infrastructure needs, while creative entrepreneurs could access market intelligence to expand into new markets.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Abdulkarim Ozi Ibrahim, described the unveiling as a significant milestone in efforts to unlock the economic potential of Nigeria’s art, culture, tourism and creative industries.
He said the platform would strengthen evidence-based policymaking, improve investors’ access to emerging opportunities and provide businesses and entrepreneurs with information to enhance competitiveness and support expansion.
Also speaking, the Executive Director and Vice President, Government and External Affairs at Cavista Holdings, Olumide Olayomi, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the growth of Nigeria’s creative and tourism economy through credible data and evidence-based planning.
Olayomi said D30 would help government and private-sector operators identify viable investments, address infrastructure gaps and stimulate growth across the sector’s value chain.
He noted that Nigeria’s cultural heritage, tourism destinations and vibrant creative community offered significant opportunities for job creation and wealth generation, adding that reliable intelligence was necessary to track opportunities, assess needs and measure progress.
Olayomi also expressed Cavista’s support for the Ministry’s target of generating $100 billion and creating three million jobs from the creative and tourism economy by 2030.
Meanwhile, the Statistician-General of the Federation and Chief Executive Officer of the National Bureau of Statistics, Adeyemi Adeniran, represented by his Technical Assistant, Moses Waniko, pledged the bureau’s collaboration with the Ministry to strengthen data collection and harmonise statistical methodologies.
In his remarks, the Special Adviser to the President on Partnerships and Innovation, Imran Garba Duba, commended those who contributed to the development and launch of the platform, particularly the Cavista team.
Duba described the launch as the beginning of broader opportunities for Nigeria, stressing the need for collaboration to showcase the country’s potential through accessible and reliable data.
The D30 Platform is expected to serve as an intelligence foundation for the Federal Government’s target of generating $100 billion in gross domestic product contribution and creating three million jobs from the creative and tourism economy by 2030 under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
