Engr. Toyin Okoro has accepted the All Progressives Congress, APC, nomination to contest for Ekiti South Federal Constituency 1 in the forthcoming general election.
In a statement released on Monday, Okoro thanked God, APC leaders at ward, local government, state and national levels, and delegates for the confidence placed in him.
He also acknowledged his co-aspirants, describing the primary as a family contest and calling for unity ahead of the polls.
“I do not take this mandate lightly. I promise purposeful, accessible, and accountable representation,” he said.
Okoro said Ekiti South Federal Constituency 1 has the talent, culture, and resilience to turn shared challenges into progress, urging APC members, traditional rulers, religious leaders, women and youth groups, artisans, and residents to mobilize and vote massively for the party at all levels.
He also extended an open hand to members of other parties, saying the project is for the entire constituency.
“Together, we will win. Together, we will serve. Together, we will make Ekiti South Federal Constituency 1 a model of progress,” he said.
The flag bearer pledged to deliver the dividends of democracy and called on residents to work for a peaceful and successful campaign.
