TechNexus Limited, in collaboration with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has announced plans for the 2026 edition of the Port Harcourt Tech Expo, themed “Syntropy.”
The two-day technology conference and exhibition is scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 11 and Friday, June 12, 2026, at the EUI Events Center in Port Harcourt.
According to the organisers, the annual event will attract entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, technology experts, and creative professionals from across the Niger Delta, other parts of Nigeria, and the diaspora.
Managing Director of TechNexus, Belema George, disclosed in a statement that the expo would feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, startup pitch competitions, product exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
George explained that the event is designed to stimulate technology-driven economic growth in Rivers State and the wider South-South region.
He noted that the theme, “Syntropy,” is rooted in the idea of constructive synergy, reflecting the belief that stronger collaboration among innovators, investors, and institutions can accelerate regional development.
According to him, the partnership with the NDDC aligns with the commission’s commitment to promoting sustainable development in the Niger Delta through innovation and strategic investments.
He added that the initiative has also attracted support from private sector stakeholders, including financial institutions, energy companies, and telecommunications firms operating within the region.
George said the expo is intended to position the Niger Delta as a thriving hub for innovation and enterprise.
“The Port Harcourt Tech Expo is our declaration that the Niger Delta is open for innovation. We are creating a platform where brilliant minds can connect with mentorship, resources, and market opportunities needed for growth,” he said.
He further described the event as more than a conference, saying it represents the beginning of a broader movement aimed at advancing digital and economic transformation in the Niger Delta.
TechNexus, he added, remains open to additional sponsorships and partnerships from organisations committed to the region’s technological advancement.
