The Tinubu Health Sector Practitioners Alliance, TIHSEPA, has announced plans to reach healthcare professionals across the country to promote awareness of the Federal Government’s health sector reforms.
The National Coordinator of the alliance, Dr. Ogechi Lokpobiri, said the group would expand its engagement with stakeholders in primary and secondary healthcare institutions, as well as other professionals in the sector.
Lokpobiri, who spoke while reacting to the launch of President Bola Tinubu’s campaign in Kaduna State, said the event had provided an opportunity for the alliance to strengthen its nationwide mobilisation.
She said the group would use the engagement to communicate the administration’s health policies and programmes to healthcare workers and encourage their participation in the reform process.
According to her, the Tinubu administration recognises healthcare as an important factor in national productivity, economic growth and development.
She listed investments in healthcare infrastructure, professional training, maternal health and health insurance coverage as key areas for improving the country’s healthcare system.
“President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda recognises that the health of Nigerians is fundamental to the country’s productivity, prosperity and future. Investments in healthcare infrastructure, professional training, maternal health and insurance coverage provide a foundation for building a stronger health system,” she said.
The coordinator reaffirmed TIHSEPA’s commitment to working with healthcare stakeholders to promote the administration’s health sector interventions and mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election.
She urged health professionals to support the President’s second-term ambition, saying another four years would provide an opportunity to sustain ongoing reforms, investments and efforts to improve healthcare delivery across the country.
