Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved the constitution of the State Government Delegation for the 2026 Christian Pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

A statement issued Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, said the delegation will be chaired by HRM Johnson Diyo Matalo, the Gubo Yungur.

Congratulating the appointees, Governor Fintiri urged them to uphold the highest standards of integrity, discipline and patriotism in the discharge of their duties.

“You have been chosen to represent the government and good people of Adamawa State. This is both an honour and a responsibility. I urge you to be good ambassadors of our dear state. Conduct yourselves with dignity and ensure the pilgrimage is hitch-free and purposeful,” the Governor said.

He charged the committee to work closely with the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, and other relevant authorities to ensure the welfare and safety of all pilgrims from the state.

Fintiri also called on members to justify the confidence reposed in them by being transparent, accountable and focused on the spiritual objectives of the pilgrimage.

The Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting religious activities that promote peace, unity and moral values in Adamawa State.
