Hon. Abdullahi Thanks APC Stakeholders, Gov. Bago Over Consensus Endorsement for 2027 Elections

Member of the House of Representatives, representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency and Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Finance, Hon. Saidu Musa Abdullahi (SMA), has expressed heartfelt appreciation to leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Bida, Gbako and Katcha Federal Constituency following his emergence as the party’s consensus candidate for the 2027 General Elections.

Hon. SMA gave special recognition to the Governor of Niger State, Umar Mohammed Bago, for the significant role he played in the consensus arrangement and for the confidence and trust he has consistently shown over the years.

According to the lawmaker, the Governor’s support, encouragement and belief in his capacity continue to inspire him toward strengthening the voice and relevance of Niger State at the National Assembly and within the broader political landscape.

He described his emergence as a great honour and a clear demonstration of confidence in his leadership, representation and commitment to the development of the constituency.

Hon. SMA also appreciated the fatherly guidance, prayers and encouragement of the Etsu Nupe, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Abubakar, CFR, the Sheshi of Katcha, Alhaji Baba Adamu, District Heads, Village Heads, traditional rulers and religious leaders across the constituency for their support and commitment to peace and unity.

The federal lawmaker further acknowledged the support of members of the Niger State House of Assembly, Local Government Chairmen and their Deputies, Commissioners, Ward Councillors, political appointees, party elders and stakeholders across Bida, Gbako and Katcha Local Government Areas for their solidarity throughout the consultations leading to the consensus decision.

He equally commended the National, Zonal, State, Senatorial District, Local Government, Ward and Unit structures of the APC, alongside women groups, youth associations, student bodies, trade unions, inter-tribal associations, faith-based organisations, NGOs, community associations and supporters for their loyalty and overwhelming support.

Hon. SMA also extended appreciation to other aspirants and their supporters for embracing dialogue, understanding and party unity in the process that led to the emergence of a consensus candidate.

He described the development as a collective victory for both the APC and the people of the constituency, noting that the spirit of unity, maturity and sacrifice demonstrated by all parties involved remains commendable.

The lawmaker appealed to his supporters and associates not to mock, insult or disrespect anyone over the outcome of the consultations, stressing that the consensus arrangement was designed to strengthen unity, stability and collective progress within the party.

Hon. SMA specially acknowledged the warm reception, endorsements, prayers and goodwill messages he received during his welcome visit to Bida after purchasing his nomination form, as well as during his recent political engagements in Gbako and Katcha Local Government Areas.

He assured the people of Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency that his emergence as consensus candidate would further strengthen his resolve to provide quality representation, facilitate impactful projects, expand humanitarian support and advance overall development across the constituency.

The lawmaker pledged to continue working with all stakeholders, regardless of political or social differences, to sustain peace, unity and development.

He also reaffirmed his support for the developmental vision of Governor Umar Mohammed Bago, as well as the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Hon. SMA prayed for continued peace, unity and prosperity for Niger State and Nigeria, while calling on party members and residents of the constituency to remain united and committed to collective progress.
