Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission has reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability and ethical conduct in the discharge of its mandate.
The Executive Secretary of NCPC, Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, stated this on Wednesday in Abuja during a sensitisation workshop organised by the Commission’s Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit in collaboration with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission.
The workshop, held at the NCPC Headquarters, was aimed at deepening staff understanding of corruption prevention and strengthening ethical standards in public service.
Represented by the Director of Administration, Mr. Abu Okpanachi, Bishop Adegbite commended ICPC for its continued support in promoting integrity within public institutions.
He said the engagement provided staff with better understanding of their individual responsibilities in preventing corruption.
“We are on the right path towards building a culture of integrity and ethical conduct,” he said. “Achieving a corruption-free institution requires the collective commitment of every staff member.”
The NCPC boss assured ICPC of the Commission’s willingness to collaborate on initiatives aimed at preventing corruption and strengthening institutional accountability.
The Chairman of ICPC, Dr. Musa Aliyu, SAN, represented by the Director of System Studies and Review, Mr. Olusegun Adigun, commended the ACTU of NCPC for advancing anti-corruption initiatives within the Commission.
He encouraged staff to sustain the momentum in promoting transparency and accountability.
The workshop featured two paper presentations.
The first, “Building a Culture of Integrity: Everybody’s Role in Preventing Corruption,”emphasised that the fight against corruption is a collective responsibility.
The second, “Recognising and Resisting Corruption Risks in the Workplace,” focused on helping participants identify potential corruption risks and resist unethical practices.
Organisers said the presentations reinforced the importance of personal integrity, vigilance and accountability in creating an ethical and transparent work environment.
The engagement underscored the shared commitment of NCPC and ICPC to strengthening institutional integrity in public service.
