NDC legal challenges:  Kwankwaso assures supporters of victory ahead of 2027

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged party members and supporters not to lose hope over the party’s ongoing legal challenges, expressing confidence that the issues will be resolved ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Kwankwaso gave the assurance in a post on his official X account after paying a courtesy visit to the NDC National Leader, Seriake Dickson, at his Abuja residence. He explained that the meeting was part of wider consultations aimed at strengthening unity, building resilience, and improving preparations for the next election cycle.

“Today, I paid a courtesy visit to the National Leader of our party, the NDC, His Excellency Seriake Dickson, at his residence in Abuja,” Kwankwaso wrote, noting that the discussions were focused on keeping the party united and strategically positioned for 2027.

Despite the legal hurdles, Kwankwaso reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to democracy and the rule of law, stressing that the party has full confidence in the judicial process. “No temporary setback can weaken the spirit of a movement built on hope, justice, equity and the collective aspirations of the Nigerian people,” he said.

He called on members, supporters, and Nigerians to remain calm, focused, and committed to the party’s mission, insisting that the NDC will emerge stronger from the challenges. “I urge all party members, supporters and well-meaning Nigerians to stay calm, resolute and focused on our shared mission. Together, we will rise above every challenge. Nigeria will be OK,” he added.
