Director-General of the Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO), Aminu Suleiman, has urged northern Nigeria to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 instead of backing former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
Speaking to journalists shortly after meeting President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Suleiman said fairness and equity demand that Tinubu be allowed to complete two terms in office.
“The North had already produced former President Muhammadu Buhari, who served his eight years, so power should be allowed to remain in the South until 2031. We cannot be greedy. Muhammadu Buhari served for eight years, and we all supported him. Now it is only fair to allow President Tinubu to complete his own eight years so that there will be balance in the country,” Suleiman declared.
He insisted that Atiku would not enjoy the backing of northern voters in the 2027 presidential election, urging the region to remain committed to Tinubu’s administration.
Suleiman commended the President for what he described as visible achievements in infrastructure and economic reforms, expressing confidence that Tinubu’s performance would earn him another term. He cited major projects, including the ongoing super highway in Kebbi State, as evidence of the administration’s commitment to development.
“You can see the projects going on across the country, including that of my home state Kebbi. These are massive projects that will benefit Nigerians,” he said.
He further claimed that state governments were receiving improved allocations from the Federal Government, enabling governors to execute more development projects.
“I recently visited Kebbi State and saw the level of development. The support governors are getting from the Federal Government is unprecedented,” he added.
The TSO Director-General also praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for what he described as the transformation of Abuja, expressing confidence that the achievements of the Tinubu administration would convince Nigerians to return the President to office in 2027.
